Its funny. I reread the run of Blade of the Immortal that I have, and noticed in the bottom corner of the back cover "Will Eisner COMIC INDUSTRY AWARD WINNER".
Then I read that he's dead.
I wonder if Hiroaki Samura is alive. He has to be at the least rather mature. I wonder if Blade is done in Japan.
In any case, rereading it reminded me of why I wanted to be a comic artist.
I took out all my current first drafts yesterday. I found three stories...One multi-volume cult adventure, One three part cult drama, and one oneshot romance/adventure. The story of the multi-volume is solid...just...long. The threepart has major plot deficienc
